Large US School District saves 485 support hours with Optiv

A large U.S. school district faced significant cybersecurity risks due to decentralized and inconsistent privileged access management processes, a lack of auditing for administrative accounts, and the use of hard-coded credentials. To address these challenges, the district engaged Optiv to deploy and manage a comprehensive privileged access management (PAM) solution centered on the CyberArk product suite.

Optiv designed, implemented, and began managing an on-premises CyberArk PAM solution for credential management and a SaaS-based CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM) to enforce least privilege policies. The results included a reduced risk of malicious attacks like ransomware, the removal of hard-coded credentials to ensure policy compliance, and significant time savings. Optiv's managed services saved the district approximately 485 support hours by resolving hundreds of incidents and requests within ten months.
