The customer, a multinational brewing and beverage company, faced the challenge of securing 250 diverse global facilities with limited security standards, leading to a high number of false positives. They engaged the vendor Optiv to implement operational technology (OT) sensors and a security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) solution to integrate alerts and reduce noise.

Optiv installed OT sensors and firewalls across all facilities, tuned the devices, and integrated them into the client's existing platforms. By automating security processes through its SOAR solution and having its experts triage alerts for 18 months, Optiv reduced the weekly alert count from 5,000 to 50. This successfully secured the environments and equipped the client's own SOC team for long-term success.
