A Optiv Case Study

Preview of the Large, Family-Owned Convenience Store Chain Case Study

Convenience Store Chain Protects Financial Information with a Complete Solution

Optiv worked with a large, family-owned convenience store chain operating more than 350 locations to strengthen security around payment card data and remote POS administration. The customer needed a better way to protect financial information, improve IT management for remote systems, and meet PCI requirements while reducing the risk of data breaches.

Optiv implemented a web filtering solution and a remote access IT management solution to centrally monitor, update, and secure POS systems while blocking inappropriate internet activity and reducing vulnerabilities. As a result, the chain improved PCI compliance, increased visibility and efficiency, reduced the risk of data breaches, and saved resources by redirecting staff away from rebuilding infected machines toward more proactive work.
