The University of Lausanne (UNIL), a Swiss university with more than 190 research units, needed to digitize and streamline its institutional ethics validation process, which receives about 50 requests per semester. To replace manual input, email threads and folder-based tracking, UNIL selected Optimy’s cloud-based project and review management solution.

Optimy implemented a collaborative workflow to collect, review and issue ethics approvals, with templates, task delegation and centralized file sharing so commissions can track each project and reconstruction of evaluations. As a result, UNIL now reviews more projects faster and with better traceability (processing around 50 requests per semester with far less manual work) and benefits from proactive support from Optimy’s customer success team.
