The Belgian National Lottery (Loterie Nationale) faced a challenge with its deeply embedded SharePoint system, which was unable to meet strict government regulatory and operational demands for managing its large portfolio of sponsorships and grants. Optimy implemented a two-phased solution, first deploying its user-friendly front-end for digital application intake and then building a fully compliant custom backend over 12 months. This included a successful migration of nearly 30 years of project data. Since going live, the National Lottery has managed over 15,000 projects through Optimy, a significant increase from the SharePoint era, and now centrally manages its entire €345 million annual charity budget with built-in transparency and full state compliance.
