Alstom Foundation used Optimy’s grant management software to streamline how it selected partners for its philanthropic activities. Before that, the foundation managed the process by email and Excel files, which made it complicated and time-consuming to evaluate NGO requests and gather consistent information.

With Optimy, Alstom Foundation created a central repository with clear guidelines so NGOs could submit requests in a more structured way and the team could collect consistent responses and use summaries for reporting. The foundation said the online submission tool broadened awareness and increased the number of good projects submitted to more than double the previous volume, and it also no longer needed to hire an intern to support the process full time.
