How National Lottery switched from SharePoint to Optimy

Loterie Nationale used Optimy to replace a SharePoint-based grant management system that was struggling to support its work. The Belgian National Lottery manages a substantial annual charity budget of 345 million euros for Culture, Sports, Sciences, Poverty reduction, and Sustainable development projects, and needed a process that could fit strict controls linked to its federal structure.

Optimy implemented the solution in two stages, starting with a user-friendly front end for grant applications and later building a customized backend to meet State regulations and migrate a database spanning almost 30 years. After a year and a half on Optimy, Loterie Nationale had managed over 4,000 projects through the platform, with seamless external committee validations and improved handling of internally evaluated projects.
