How Lexington Medical Center's Optimy Implementation enhance its Sponsorship and Grant Management

Lexington Medical Center is a 607-bed teaching hospital in West Columbia, South Carolina, with a network that includes five community medical centers and more than 8,000 health care professionals. It had been managing sponsorships and grants through Excel spreadsheets, emails, mail, fax, and paper-based processes, which created inefficiencies, data silos, and a heavy administrative burden. The center sought a more centralized way to manage sponsorship and grant-related data.

Optimy implemented its sponsorship form for Lexington Medical Center and is in the process of rolling out the grant form, which is expected to go live in the spring. With Optimy, the medical center expects to aggregate information more effectively and reduce administrative work, while moving a grant process that historically supported 20 to 25 organizations annually from paper-based workflows to a digital one. Thomas Tafel, Director of Community Health, said he was a strong advocate for using a SaaS solution like Optimy and praised the team for helping bring it to life.
