OptimoRoute Helps Bookmobile Run a Growing Mobile Library in Their Community

Bookmobile is a community-run mobile library started by 17-year-old Alden Marriott and managed by Lisa Marriott to deliver books to families in La Crescenta during the pandemic. Their challenge was scaling the service while keeping costs and driving time low, organizing twice-weekly deliveries to dozens of homes, and offering contactless tracking for recipients — so they turned to OptimoRoute for route planning and realtime order tracking.

OptimoRoute allowed Lisa to import addresses from a Google Form, create cost-efficient routes and stop timings in minutes, and use Realtime Order Tracking for contactless deliveries. With OptimoRoute she cut planning time from about 60 minutes to 15 minutes, scaled from roughly 50 to 100 deliveries a week, runs ~40-family days covering 15–20 miles, and now has over 2,000 books in circulation — improving efficiency, community reach, and the customer experience.
