Smartbox, Europe’s leading gift experiences company, worked with Optily and its Optily+ platform to improve the performance of Facebook and Instagram advertising. Together with its agency IPG Reprise, Smartbox wanted social to become a stronger acquisition channel and needed to meet clear return on ad spend goals while focusing on attracting net new customers.

Optily+ ran a six-week A/B test against Facebook’s native Campaign Budget Optimization, using automated bid and budget funnel optimization on top of CBO. Optily outperformed the native approach at the same budget, delivering 3.4x ROAS, a 5.6x sales lift, and 12.3x more new users, significantly increasing customers and sales for Smartbox.
