Opticon’s M-10 Presentation Scanner Shows Its Versatility at Bio Company

Bio Company, an organic supermarket retailer, faced a challenge with its digital customer card app. Their existing scanners could not read barcodes from modern smartphone displays, which risked customer complaints. They needed a versatile handheld scanner that could read from both paper and phone screens and integrate easily with their existing POS system via USB.

Opticon provided the M-10 presentation scanner as the solution. The device was installed across all 65 of the retailer's branches. The M-10 successfully enabled customers to scan their loyalty cards and coupons directly from their smartphones, improving the checkout experience. Opticon's scanner was also noted for its easy, uncomplicated setup and its versatility, being used at checkouts, bakery counters, and for various card systems.
