Garcias Wines & Spirits, an importer and wholesale chain of alcoholic beverages, faced the challenge of needing to easily adjust prices to match market demand and professionalize its business management. To address this, they collaborated with vendor Opticon to implement an electronic shelf label (ESL) system utilizing the Opticon EE-201 e-paper displays.
The solution, implemented with partner Rational Innovation, centralized price management from their Alcochete headquarters to all eight stores. This system automated the updating of roughly 100 products daily across all locations. The results included significant time savings for employees, allowing them to focus more on customer service and order preparation, which led to increased efficiency throughout the stores. Opticon's technology provided a reliable, low-power solution that supported the company's growth.
