How MV Transportation Collaborates with LADOT

MV Transportation, the largest privately owned passenger transportation contracting firm in the U.S., works with public agencies like the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) to plan and schedule fixed-route services. Their challenge was handling data validation, service changes, and coordination across different systems, which created delays, extra manual checks, and communication back-and-forth. MV had already been using Optibus’ transportation planning and scheduling software since 2017.

By using Optibus across both MV Transportation and LADOT, the two teams worked from a single source of truth for planning, scheduling, and data exchange. This reduced conversions and import errors, cut days off the planning process, and saved as many as three days of work time per service change.
