EMTF publishes real-time bus data for 4.8M passengers a year with Optibus

EMTF, the municipal bus operator for Fuenlabrada, Spain, faced persistent passenger complaints due to inaccurate bus arrival times. A key challenge was integrating its real-time data with Google Maps, a task for which it lacked in-house programming resources. The company partnered with Optibus and its Passenger Information service to solve this problem.

Optibus implemented a seamless solution, managing the full technical integration to publish GTFS real-time data feeds to Google Maps and Moovit. This provided passengers with significantly more accurate ETAs, leading to a meaningful reduction in complaints and very positive feedback. The implementation by Optibus also garnered regional recognition and was achieved without any disruption to EMTF's daily operations.
