Ameren needed a stronger way to protect its networks from threats carried on removable media such as USB drives, memory cards, CDs, and DVDs. OPSWAT and ZIVELO addressed this challenge with ZIVELO media scanning terminals powered by OPSWAT’s MetaDefender for Media anti-malware software, giving Ameren a self-service way to scan offline media before use.

OPSWAT and ZIVELO implemented rugged, easy-to-use kiosks that multi-scan media with up to nine antivirus engines at designated checkpoints. The solution increased user compliance and awareness, reduced reliance on IT support, and proved highly effective in the first two months, with Ameren reporting the terminals operated flawlessly and improved confidence in keeping systems malware-free.
