Silicium Security, the provider of ECAT advanced malware detection, needed a way to strengthen endpoint security and better identify known malware while focusing analyst attention on harder-to-detect threats like advanced persistent threats (APTs). To do that, Silicium Security partnered with OPSWAT and integrated OPSWAT’s Metascan into ECAT, adding multi-engine antivirus scanning inside the ECAT console.

With OPSWAT’s Metascan, Silicium Security incorporated results from multiple antivirus engines into ECAT’s static file analysis, making it faster and more efficient to flag suspicious or malicious files. The solution improved detection and analysis capabilities, gave customers deeper insight into malware and attack patterns, and helped close potential exploit points, with Metascan supporting integrations with up to 30 antivirus engines.
