SCL Health, a nonprofit healthcare system operating eight hospitals, four safety-net clinics and a children’s mental health center, needed to secure thousands of endpoints across three states while meeting strict HIPAA requirements. OPSWAT implemented Metascan/Metadefender Core integrated with RSA ECAT to combine multi-engine file scanning and memory analysis, protecting approximately 13,000 machines. The solution’s frequent signature updates and heuristic rules increased detection of known and unknown threats, helped keep the network clean, safeguarded patient data and supported SCL Health’s HIPAA compliance.
