NRI Secure Technologies - Customer Case Study

NRI Secure Technologies, a provider of incident response and malware analysis services, faced a challenge scanning client malware samples that often contained confidential data they could not upload to external services like VirusTotal. To keep sensitive files in-house while getting broad antivirus coverage, NRI turned to OPSWAT and its Metascan (now Metadefender Core) and Metascan Client products for on-premises multi-scanning.

OPSWAT implemented Metascan/Metadefender Core and Metascan Client to run 1–30 antivirus engines in parallel and to scan remote endpoints, allowing NRI to pass files from its proprietary heuristic engine to many AV engines for confirmation. The result was faster incident response and a higher detection rate—NRI shortened analysis time by scanning many engines in one session and gained a more comprehensive view of how the antivirus community reacted to threats, all while keeping customer data secure on-premises.
