To tackle authentication, premium product presentation and real‑time licensee visibility, Manchester United FC engaged OpSec Security to apply advanced physical and digital protection across its licensed products.

OpSec Security delivered a multi‑layer solution comprising custom OVD (optically variable device) hologram labels with unique serialisation, enhanced hang‑tags and woven badges, and the cloud‑based InSight/Track InSight track‑and‑trace platform with mobile authentication. The integrated approach made labels purchasable only by approved licensees, enabled real‑time reporting of orders and shipments, supported consumer registration/authentication and provided marketing contact intelligence—significantly improving product authentication, supply‑chain visibility and reducing the risk of grey‑market counterfeit goods for Manchester United FC.
