A OpSec Security Case Study
Dainese, a leader in protective sportswear, faced growing counterfeit and parallel‑trading threats that put customer safety and brand trust at risk. To restore product authenticity and supply‑chain visibility, Dainese engaged OpSec Security to design an integrated authenticity and traceability program using OpSec’s OVD (Optically Variable Device) security, unique identifiers (UIDs), QR‑enabled hangtags and Tear ’n Sew labels, and the OpSec InSight platform plus Track & Trace services.
OpSec Security implemented serialized OVD labels, certificates, and QR codes tied to UIDs in the InSight system, enabling consumers to authenticate products, register warranties, and engage with the brand while giving Dainese real‑time supply‑chain visibility. The solution delivered measurable controls: instant QR verification, automatic counterfeit alerts for invalid or repeated UID scans, traceability from factories to consumers, and capture of customer data for warranty and marketing—strengthening Dainese’s brand protection, enforcement capability, and consumer confidence.
