Delivering greater transparency and operational oversight through digitized processes for field service engineers and technicians

Epta Group, a global leader in commercial refrigeration with operations across five continents and more than €1.4 billion in 2023 revenue, needed greater oversight, traceability, and control of its field service operations. To digitize critical processes for its engineers and technicians and protect brand integrity across complex global operations, Epta Group partnered with OpSec Security to streamline field workflows and connect products to business systems.

OpSec Security implemented custom NFC labels with secure unique digital identifiers and integrated them with the OpSec Insight digital cloud platform, embedding the tags behind branded pressure-sensitive labels and shielding them for reliable use on metal frames. The solution gives technicians and customers instant access to serial, production and diagnostic data, records maintenance locations and interactions via trackable UID URLs, and has been rolled out across Epta’s refrigeration range—improving transparency, operational oversight and traceability while positioning Epta Group for paperless documentation and compliance with upcoming EU Digital Product Passport requirements.
