A OPRA Psychology Group Case Study
Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), a large healthcare organization with more than 10,000 employees, wanted to strengthen leadership capability and align staff development with its Talent Development Framework, the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework, and broader NSW Health goals. To do this sustainably, NSLHD partnered with OPRA Psychology Group to create a talent development program that would identify strengths and development areas, support leaders’ growth, and build internal capability for future delivery.
OPRA Psychology Group designed and delivered the program through review and planning, assessor training, psychometric assessment, a 360-degree survey, talent development centres, participant feedback, and evaluation. The results included an 88% response rate for 360 feedback, 61 participants completing the program over four weeks, 100% participation in all assessments, 671 participant hours invested, and training of 10 NSLHD facilitators to sustain the program. The initiative also led to better cross-department networking, six promotions within three months, and new strategies for ongoing improvement.
