A OPRA Psychology Group Case Study
The Ministry of Social Development engaged OPRA Psychology Group to help build a leadership questionnaire to better assess the training needs of its managerial staff. The organization wanted to create a clearer, more effective way to evaluate leadership capability after previous attempts had run into difficulties.
OPRA Psychology Group ran a workshop with the Ministry’s HR team and used a repertory-grid technique to reconceptualize the leadership model, then developed trait-based questions around the core competencies. The result was a valid, robust leadership questionnaire with acceptable internal reliability, identifying three key item clusters and supporting a leadership training course built around those factors.
