A OPRA Psychology Group Case Study
Auckland City Council, through its Transport division, needed to strengthen professional competence across communication, collaboration, customer service, coping with change, decision making, and performance. To address the underlying behaviors influencing these areas, the council worked with OPRA Psychology Group to focus on emotional intelligence, while also building coaching skills across all levels of transport.
OPRA Psychology Group designed and delivered a development programme that included training staff in the assessment and coaching of emotional intelligence, followed by workshops to raise awareness and increase its day-to-day use. The results included 30 leaders, planners, engineers, specialists, and administrators trained in emotional intelligence coaching and assessment, along with the tools and capability to run branded workshops and individual coaching sessions.
