Cardrona Alpine Resort - Customer Case Study

Cardrona Alpine Resort, a major New Zealand ski field that employs around 600 seasonal staff each winter, needed to scale quickly while maintaining a strong culture of openness, collaboration, learning, and emotionally intelligent leadership. To support that goal, the resort partnered with OPRA Psychology Group and used its emotionally intelligent leadership survey and Genos EI framework.

OPRA Psychology Group implemented an EI Leadership 360 with customizable rater groups, open-text feedback, and development tips, supported by an intro workshop, coaching debriefs, and ongoing resources for leaders. The program helped leaders become more self-aware and effective at connecting and collaborating, while employee engagement also improved across the business: People Operations up 7.6%, Leadership up 7.2%, Environment up 7.4%, and overall Engagement up 8.8%.
