Kansas Wind Project Operator gains full control over 99 MW wind park with Opoura

The Kansas Wind Project Operator, a wind farm in Kansas, faced limitations with its existing park controller, which restricted data access, turbine commands, and flexibility. Seeking full operational autonomy and direct control over its 33 Vestas turbines, the operator partnered with vendor Opoura to implement its OneView® Universal Park Controller.

By replacing the old system, Opoura provided the operator with direct start/stop commands, ramping capabilities, and advanced control modes like active power and voltage regulation.
