How Belgian Energy Management Technology is Serving Innovation in Vietnam

DEEP C Green Energy, a Belgian/Vietnamese industrial infrastructure developer, faced the challenge of manually managing energy and environmental data across its vast and growing 3,300-hectare industrial zones near Hai Phong, Vietnam. Operating in an area with suboptimal communication networks, the company needed an automated, low-cost solution to collect and process this data efficiently. They partnered with vendor Opinum S.A., selecting their Opinum Data Hub platform for data analysis.

The solution involved deploying a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) with LoRaWAN technology to automatically collect power consumption data from sensors every 30 minutes. The Opinum Data Hub provided a clear, intuitive, and flexible interface for processing this data, allowing DEEP C to better understand customer consumption and optimize its energy grid. This initial successful pilot with 100 sensors validated the solution's efficiency and reliability, paving the way for a full rollout to thousands of sensors and enabling future predictive maintenance and expanded services for water distribution.
