iHerb, a pure-play Internet retailer of vitamins and supplements, faced significant challenges supporting its over 50% annual sales growth. With rising labor shortages and the need to guarantee same-day shipping to an international customer base, they required a fulfillment solution that could maximize throughput without increasing labor costs or square footage. To address this, iHerb partnered with vendor OPEX to implement their Perfect Pick system.

The OPEX Perfect Pick system implemented at iHerb's new Hebron facility provided a high-density storage and retrieval solution. This automation resulted in a labor efficiency three times greater than their batch-based facility and allowed them to process orders from induction to the shipping dock in just 15 minutes. The success of this first installation led iHerb to install a second OPEX system at their California facility to further enhance warehouse efficiency across both locations.
