A OpenXava Case Study
ZX-Ed, the developer of a database editor and script generator for the open ZXDB project, required a robust framework to build their open-source application. The ZXDB is the most widely used historical database for ZX-Spectrum software and hardware, and ZX-Ed needed a solution that would allow it to efficiently feed content to numerous websites and an open API. They chose OpenXava as their development framework to create this tool.
Using the OpenXava framework, developer Einar Saukas successfully built and released ZX-Ed as an open-source application on GitHub. The solution provided by OpenXava enabled the ZX-Ed tool to become a critical part of the ecosystem, supporting the ZXDB which is used as the index reference for a dozen different websites and services, including the Zx App mobile application.
