Case Study: League of American Bicyclists achieves streamlined awards management and increased engagement with OpenWater

A OpenWater Case Study

League of American Bicyclists - Customer Case Study

The League of American Bicyclists runs multiple awards programs managed by a small team (one primary administrator plus three occasional staff) that receive about 400 applications and involve 2–10 judges per program. They needed a system to handle an intensive application process because making small changes was difficult and risky before adopting OpenWater’s awards application system.

OpenWater implemented a flexible awards-management platform that enables carryover of applications, lets one person submit multiple entries, accepts payments, and supports large file uploads for easy judge review. As a result, engagement in the awards program has increased, the League can safely make routine system changes, and they now reliably process roughly 400 submissions with smoother judging—requested improvements are routinely implemented by OpenWater.
