A OpenText Case Study
World Wide Technology (WWT), a $10.4 billion technology solutions provider with 4,600 employees, needed to scale quickly as it doubled in size every four years. Its horizontal structure and legacy test tools—poor developer UX, Mac compatibility issues, and siloed workflows—were slowing testing and time-to-market and preventing effective DevOps collaboration.
WWT adopted Micro Focus ALM Octane as a SaaS, browser-based ALM to unify teams, integrate with existing tools, and automate DevOps pipelines. The move cut some development groups’ time-to-production from a month to one week (with a target of hourly deployments and up to 10 releases per day), enabled push-button deployments, and delivered cost savings, automatic upgrades, and scalable licensing.
