SysMech needed a reliable, low-management platform to handle highly scaled, heterogeneous telco network data that competitors struggled to unify. Working with OpenText and its Vertica analytics platform, SysMech built a single data model for network, customer, and service streams so operators could correlate information across the network.

OpenText’s Vertica powers SysMech’s Zen Network Management Software, which consolidates data from 75 sources and supports hundreds of users. The solution cut up to two hours of daily reporting and data aggregation work per engineer, while enabling real-time analysis of hundreds of billions of performance counters and about 100 TB of short-term data.
