With Micro Focus Reflection, BVE gains mobile host access and a seamless migration to Windows 7

Bauverein der Elbgemeinden (BVE) is one of Germany’s largest building cooperatives and Hamburg’s biggest apartment provider, serving nearly 20,000 members and managing 13,600 apartments. BVE needed to upgrade its workstations to Windows 7 and modernize a highly customized GES ERP interface, but its existing host access solution didn’t support Windows 7 or a more user-friendly front end.

Using Micro Focus Reflection to deliver a .NET front end and Windows 7–ready host access, BVE completed a seamless migration, added mobile access from iPads, tablets and Windows RT, and integrated an external janitorial app. The solution modernized the user experience, automated key processes (including barcode generation and Office integration), enabled ERP data exchange, and simplified ongoing IT management with vendor support.
