A OpenText Case Study
Whitlock, an IT services and software reseller, faced a sudden surge in website demand when hurricanes Harvey and Irma drove millions of requests for financial relief from nonprofit aid seekers. To help the organization avoid overload and keep aid flowing, Whitlock partnered with OpenText and used OpenText Core Performance Engineering.
OpenText helped deploy a cloud-based performance testing environment within days, including scripting support and 400,000 virtual user hours, to validate the site at scale. The solution proved the site could handle more than 10 million registrations, 700 registrations per second, and 40,000 concurrent users, while enabling Whitlock to go live with zero stress on the system and process more than 477,000 aid requests.
