The surge in donations and aid requests threatened to overload the site and delay critical financial relief to victims, and the nonprofit lacked the in-house expertise to verify scalability under extreme load.

Whitlock and Micro Focus stood up a LoadRunner Cloud test environment within 48 hours, supplying 400,000 virtual user hours and top scripters free of charge. Tests simulated over 10 million registrations, peaked at 700 registrations/sec and 40,000 concurrent users, validating the re‑engineered site so it could go live within days and process more than 477,000 aid requests without system stress.
