Proficio, a managed security services provider, needed to help a hospital cut through overwhelming security alerts, improve threat response, and avoid the cost of building its own SOC. Using OpenText ArcSight, Proficio provided round-the-clock monitoring and filtering so the hospital could focus on the most important threats.

OpenText helped Proficio implement correlation rules, business policies, and Active Defense modules to prioritize alerts and block risky IP traffic faster. The results were significant: actionable alerts dropped from thousands to 3–4 per day, mean time to respond fell to about five minutes, and threat detection improved from at least 48 hours to under 15 minutes.
