The WW Group, the largest Weight Watchers franchise group operating across multiple U.S. states and parts of Canada, was struggling with a slow, error-prone process for handling hundreds of paper forms from weekly meetings. Manual data entry by a small team created delays of up to weeks, hindering timely reporting and operational decisions.

The company deployed OpenText Intelligent Forms Automation with TeleForm and Fujitsu scanners to automatically capture, classify and extract form data; the electronic form mirrored the paper version so field staff needed no retraining. Verification time fell from about two minutes to under 30 seconds, staff were redeployed to higher-value tasks, and a new member database enabled targeted email/direct-mail campaigns—improving decision speed, member engagement and revenue—with ongoing support from partner Optiform.
