Sportium, a gaming and betting operator, needed a scalable and secure way to manage massive data volumes while preparing for future growth. The company evaluated several platforms, including OpenText Vertica, and was looking for predictable costs, strong performance, and the flexibility to avoid lock-in to a single cloud provider.

With support from OpenText, Sportium implemented a consolidated Vertica data warehouse, integrated with Pentaho and Tableau, to unify retail and digital data and enable self-service analytics for franchisees and teams. The result was faster querying, accurate real-time reporting, and a more data-driven organization handling 48.5 billion data rows; Sportium also lowered marketing and sales costs and improved partner and customer experiences.
