Veolia Environmental Services, a major environmental-services provider in Australia and New Zealand, consolidated seven regional offices into a single customer service center. That consolidation revealed inefficiencies: multiple dispersed fax machines produced paper waste, required manual distribution, caused delays on time‑sensitive requests, and complicated workflow with different equipment and supplies.
Working with Axient, Veolia deployed OpenText RightFax with Fax over IP integrated into Cisco Unified Communications Manager and SAP, delivering faxes directly to employees’ Outlook inboxes. The solution cut paper and toner use, sped delivery of customer service and financial documents, simplified administration, eliminated most physical faxing, and created a low‑cost, scalable path to expand IP‑faxing across additional sites.
