US Signal cuts cloud migration windows in half with PlateSpin Migrate

US Signal, a Midwest provider of networking, cloud computing, and managed services, needed to move customer servers and applications into its cloud while minimizing downtime during often very tight migration windows. The company’s manual, spreadsheet-driven process for discovery, agent installation, and backup-based migration made large projects time-consuming and difficult to scale. OpenText PlateSpin Migrate was introduced as the vendor solution to help address these cloud migration challenges.

OpenText implemented PlateSpin Migrate to automate discovery, migration, testing, and final cut-over for US Signal’s customer environments, with support from OpenText Professional Services. The results were significant: migration preparation work was reduced by many hours, large projects that would have taken weeks were completed in days, and typical migration windows were cut in half, helping reduce service downtime and support a smoother go-live.
