The Helsana Group, one of Switzerland’s largest health and accident insurers, faced pressure to control costs, retain members and speed delivery while managing a complex application landscape. As Helsana moved to DevOps and a “shift-left” strategy, its manual CRM testing and integration-heavy processes slowed releases and limited test coverage, so the IT team and partner PQM Consulting sought an automated, reusable testing approach.

Helsana implemented Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management with UFT Developer (and UFT One) in a continuous integration pipeline, enabling overnight automated functional and regression tests. The result: streamlined, reusable test frameworks, improved Dev/QA collaboration, consolidation of 220 manual CRM tests into 46 automated tests with the same coverage (plus 280 automated pricing checks), faster time-to-market and higher-quality releases.
