Travelport, a global travel technology company, needed to introduce automation across a very broad mix of systems and applications, from green screen to web services, websites, mobile, and airline IT services. The company turned to OpenText products, including UFT One and later OpenText LeanFT, now UFT Developer, to support its testing strategy and help accelerate quality assurance across its platforms.
OpenText helped Travelport build a mature automation framework that now supports about 250 users, 40 automation projects, and roughly 300 virtual machines for scheduled and on-demand testing. As a result, automated testing now covers a significant share of projects, improving development speed, coverage, scheduling, and reporting, while giving Travelport a scalable approach for future Agile, DevOps, and container-based testing initiatives.
