Preview of the Airline Seat Company Case Study

To maintain a competitive edge, this airline seat company expands flight offerings and improves customer service with Verastream Host Integrator

Airline Seat Company (ASC) needed to overcome a rigid legacy reservation system that made it difficult to expand flight offerings, improve customer service, and support online self-service. Using OpenText™ Verastream™ Host Integrator, ASC aimed to modernize its travel systems and connect its website to reservation and fare data so customers could book more conveniently.

OpenText implemented Verastream Host Integrator to create a graphical front end for Galileo and a web-based front end integrating ASC’s portal with ATOP. The result was a 24/7 online reservation system with real-time flight availability, pricing, and customization, plus broader ticket sales across airlines. Measurable impact included cutting flight search time from 20 minutes to 30 seconds and enabling faster, more flexible bookings that improved customer convenience and competitiveness.
