TMVW Customer Communications Flow Freely with OpenText

TMVW is a public-sector multi-utility based in Gent, Belgium, founded in 1923 and serving over 600,000 customers with water, sewage and related services. The company relied on an external print provider to merge SAP XML output with templates, which created high costs, lengthy delays for template changes and limited ability to adopt new channels like e-invoicing, email and SMS.

TMVW implemented OpenText StreamServe in early 2013 to bring template design and output management in-house, with a cross-functional project team completing go-live in about seven months. The solution cut the real cost of template changes, reduced deployment time from weeks to as little as one day, enabled new electronic delivery channels, and supports TMVW’s ongoing goal of reducing print volumes and creating a single-source archive for communications.
