A OpenText Case Study
The New Zealand Transport Agency, a Crown entity of about 1,450 staff that manages the state highway network, needed to replace multiple legacy content systems and dozens of shared drives after its old ECM reached end‑of‑life and would have cost millions to upgrade. Focused on a people‑first, easy‑to‑use approach that fit the government ICT strategy, the agency sought a cloud solution to consolidate content, improve collaboration and support citizen‑facing services.
The agency deployed OpenText ECMaaS (InfoHub) on the OpenText Content Suite Platform with OpenText Cloud Managed Services and partners Tenzing and Revera, rolling out to roughly 1,400 internal and 600 external users within 18 months. The cloud solution improved sharing and mobility, raised staff productivity and engagement, enabled integrations and automation pilots, maintained the same overhead while repurposing headcount, and delivered faster, more citizen‑centric services.
