A OpenText Case Study
The Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture, a public body serving some 53,000 customers in Germany’s agriculture and forestry sectors, needed to streamline document management and collaboration for geographically distributed internal and external teams. Relying on email to share documents and involve external partners created administrative overhead, versioning problems and slowed project work.
The chamber deployed Micro Focus Vibe, integrated with its Open Enterprise Server, eDirectory and GroupWise environment and customized by CONET, using a team-by-team rollout and training to drive adoption. Teams gained branded workspaces, tagging, task lists, calendars and inbound-email and mobile access; early adopters report faster information flow, better transparency through comments instead of email, a growing knowledge base and plans to expand from 125 active users to 1,000 and support large, 300+ person projects.
