The Institute of Public Administration of Canada encourages real-time collaboration across globe with PSWB.net, a purpose-driven social platform built on OpenText Tempo Social

The Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC), a membership organization with 18 chapters dedicated to excellence in public service, faced growing pressure for open government and real-time, cross‑border collaboration. Traditional channels—meetings, publications and disparate websites—lacked interactivity, flexibility and the security needed for sensitive public‑sector exchanges.

Working with OpenText, IPAC launched Public Service Without Borders (PSWB), a cloud‑hosted social platform built on OpenText Tempo™ Social that provides secure, mobile collaboration tools, communities, blogs and file sharing at no charge to public servants. In its first year PSWB attracted over 4,000 users across some 50 communities, enabling faster decision‑making, greater transparency and global sharing of best practices while meeting strict security and management requirements.
