A OpenText Case Study
The Globe and Mail, a 167-year-old Canadian national newspaper with a large digital network, sought to improve its online experience by making search more intuitive and surfacing contextually relevant content. Their goals were to attract a larger audience, keep readers on site longer, increase engagement and brand awareness, and drive customer loyalty.
To achieve this they implemented OpenText Semantic Navigation, which generates semantic metadata to improve search relevance and SEO, speed content discovery, and surface targeted products and ads based on meaning. The result is faster, more relevant search results that boost site “stickiness,” nurture loyalty, and better support the Globe’s digital business strategy.
