The City of Scottsdale Improves Information Flow with OpenText Document Management, eDOCS Edition

The City of Scottsdale, a diverse municipality of about 240,000 people, needed an enterprise solution to share documents across departments, secure sensitive records, reduce duplication with version control, index full-text content (including AutoCAD drawings), and better manage workflow and public records requests.

Scottsdale implemented OpenText Document Management, eDOCS Edition, with partner 5280 Solutions, creating a central, secure repository with search, backup, and workflow capabilities accessible via Windows Explorer, Outlook, and web interfaces. The system now supports roughly 500 users and five million pieces of content, speeding responses to information requests, improving approval cycles and productivity, and enabling broader departmental adoption.
