A OpenText Case Study
The City of Dallas, a large municipal government serving over one million residents, relied on a small security team to collect sensitive data for forensics, cybersecurity, litigation and public records requests. Manual processes—especially copying and vetting PST files—were slow and labor-intensive, making it difficult to meet time-sensitive open records and litigation deadlines and risking loss of critical information.
The city deployed OpenText EnCase (part of the OpenText Security Suite) to perform forensically sound, remote imaging and targeted data extraction, automate collection and streamline processing and review. The solution accelerated information discovery, enabled an end-to-end, defensible approach to data collection and production, and delivered significant efficiency and time savings for investigations, litigation support and open records requests.
